Portfolio Preparation Services


Our team has over 15 years of experience helping students achieve their goals of attending elite Arts High Schools and Colleges.

Students begin by sending images of current work for a portfolio review prior to a 1hr session where our team offers guidance on selecting from the existing work and creating new pieces. This can be combined with individual lessons where we create a custom course of instruction to build skills and create works of art. We also offer counseling on which programs to apply to and guidance on all stages of the application process.

Visual Art

A successful visual arts portfolio showcases a student’s unique voice while demonstrating their strengths as a prospective art student. We help students develop and select a portfolio that includes pieces made using a variety of media and approaches, with an emphasis on observational drawing. We also help students prepare for the audition.

Architecture & Design

For students interested in Architecture and Design programs, a strong portfolio will combine inventive designs with a basis in observational drawing. We help students develop and select a portfolio that showcases their creativity and technical skill through a variety of pieces demonstrating versatility and ingenuity.

Film & TV

Applying to Film & TV programs requires specialized preparation and the creation of a storyboard, screenplay and/or mini film. Our team helps students through all steps of the process as they realize their idea for film & TV.

Technical Theater

The Technical Theater application uniquely requires students to design and build a mini stage set and demonstrate their knowledge of a sequential task. Our team helps students through all steps of the process as they design and build their stage set, and as they plan and film their sequence video.

Design

Standing out as a top design applicant requires a portfolio that emphasizes a student’s unique style and voice while also showcasing their versatility. We help students create winning design portfolios through a combination of work by hand and computer, exploring graphic design, typography, photo manipulation, vector imaging and two-dimensional design practices. We offer instruction in digital design programs including Adobe Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator.

We help students develop a body of work in video and photography that fully explores their personal visual perspective while also instructing them in camera operations and portfolio development. We guide students through photo and video editing software, using programs such as Photoshop and Premiere.
